In the heart of Canford Cliffs, moments from the coast, sits our gorgeous pub with coastal rooms. Our beautiful enclosed garden is an oasis after a day at the beach, with quirky beach huts and tiki huts to privately hire.

Welcome to The Canford

The Canford is a beautiful coastal pub with 11 rooms nestled in the heart of Canford Cliffs, on the Dorset Coast. Our 11 quirky coastal bedrooms within our pub, make the perfect base for your next leisurely getaway or business trip to the south coast. We are positioned just a short stroll from the stunning award-winning Blue Flag Sandbanks beaches and public transport links into both Bournemouth and Poole, our rooms above the pub offer ensuite boutique bedrooms, each with its own individual coastal style. 

Our Head Chef Sam and her talented kitchen brigade has curated delicious dishes, using only the best of British seasonal ingredients, that can be enjoyed throughout the pub, garden and private huts, alongside our extensive wine list (or your favourite pint from draught). A firm favourite amongst the locals for celebrations, we host everything from christenings and birthday parties to milestone anniversaries and the bonus is, your guests won’t have far to travel for a good night’s rest.

Summer Nights

Join us this spring and summer for a topped-up two-night stay for two.

We’ll welcome you with a summer-in-a-cup Hugo Spritz, you’ll spend two nights in an uber-comfy bed and we’ll spot you a table in the pub for a properly good meal on either night. Oh, and there’s brekkie on both mornings, too (in bed, if you like).

Family Friendly Stays

With a host of family-friendly activities and plenty of scenic walks (just a bones throw away), why not bring the whole family including your four legged friends. Our child friendly stays offer an additional bed for £15 per night for those aged 2-14 where available, with a complimentary stay for those under two.

  Our dog-friendly bedrooms are complete with their own doggy bed or blanket, bowl and tasty treats. Up to two pups can stay with you, where available, for an additional £15 each per night.

We’re super excited to share that we’re having a bit of a makeover….

Between the 15th and 29th April 2024, some of our pub areas inside will be closed for a spruce-up. Although we’ll try to keep noise and disturbance to a bare minimum, please be mindful of these works if planning to visit us during this period.
